January 2020 saw me keeping busy as Australia burned. Feb, Mar, April, May, June and July kept me busy as the world worked/works its way through the CV19 pandemic. As I write this, my home state, Victoria, is isolated from the rest of Australia as we have the second wave of CV19 with the worst mortality figures as of yesterday. Melbourne, the capital city is 3 weeks into six week lockdown and wearing masks outside the home is compulsory. It is scary. Fact.
So what do I do? You guessed it, I work. And my new work, alongside my regular coaching clients, is studying, learning and launching my new Instagram feed. It has been a fantastic learning journey, tears at times with some of the IT, and incredibly creative. As I’m progressing through the program I am noting how I feel about it:
Compelling; Highly diverting; Extremely interesting; Intensely absorbing; Wonderfuly magnetising; Intellectually stimulating; Values Expression; Great fun; Drawn towards; Exciting; Enveloping; Preoccupying; Focussing; Distracting; Centering; Grounding; Soaring; Overwhelming; Curious; Challenging; Trusting; Timely; Absolutely pumped; Amazed at lead already; MY SECOND CALLING; Stretching; Grateful it works; Happy; Trusting the Process; Insipring; Creative; Anxious; Addicted; Grateful to my teacher Kat; Possiblities abounding
When was the last time YOU learned something completely new? At the edge of your comfort zone?
I understand much research being done on aging and keeping our brains alert and healthy. Learning new things seems to be a key. I hope so! If it is, I will have a young brain with all the learning I’ve been doing over the past few years.
Of course, I hope to slow down my work and relax more as we come out of winter and ideally out of this second CV19 wave. Already I’m looking forward to Spring (still another 6-8 weeks away from me here in the Victorian Central Highlands) and heading outside again.
